Our Mission:
Our goal at Accident Garage is to find out what your automotive needs are and to put you into the perfect vehicle that fits your wants and needs all while treating you like family. Come on in for some down home service!
The Accident Garage building was built in 1920 by Frank Spoerlein as a Star-Durant dealership. In 1933, Mr. Spoerlein acquired the Chrysler Plymouth vehicle lines. He continued to sell these vehicles up until 1978 when he let the franchise go. Mr. Spoerlein then sold used vehicles until 1981 when he sold the business to brothers E. Wayne and E. Allen Fratz. In 1984, Allen took full ownership of the dealership and also reacquired the Chrysler, Plymouth, and Dodge franchises. Allen was awarded the Jeep/Eagle franchise in 1987. Chrysler Motors discontinued the Eagle line in 1998 and the Plymouth line in the 2001 model year. Allen continues to run the dealership today with some of the same employees that worked for Mr. Spoerlein. The business has grown tremendously since opening in 1920 but the same great down home service remains.
